ice dripWintry Haiku

One, last, drop of ice
slips the fingertips of roof
falls to nothingness.

Frozen Tanka

One, last, hushed, droplet…

Surrenders its final breath,

Ice crystals melted…

Mutterings of winged things

Push pale winter into spring.
