“The Sitting”

This lady beams for briefest sketch.
The quiet artist quest begins:
a simple sketch of smile beguiles.
But lady’s eyes are liquid lies.
Mid curv`ed lip, a cautious sigh.
Her heart is harmed from lover’s storm.
But stealthily, her feelings flee. Her cries
are hidden hastily behind her smile.
